New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a significant milestone in Indian political history, becoming the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister. The occasion prompted congratulations and tributes from leaders across the political spectrum, with many highlighting his government’s initiatives in governance, infrastructure, technology, and economic development.

In a message shared on social media, Kalyan said that India had witnessed substantial progress across multiple sectors during the Prime Minister’s leadership. According to Kalyan, the government’s focus on national security, defence modernization, digital transformation, and economic growth has contributed significantly to India’s development trajectory. He also highlighted India’s successful hosting of the G20 Summit and its expanding role among emerging and developing economies as indicators of the country’s growing international influence.
Focus on Reforms and Welfare Initiatives
The Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister pointed to several flagship programmes launched during the Modi administration, including Digital India, the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile framework, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and Direct Benefit Transfer systems. He said these initiatives have transformed governance and improved the delivery of public services.
Kalyan also referred to major welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the Jal Jeevan Mission, describing them as important efforts aimed at improving the quality of life for millions of citizens.
In addition, he highlighted investments in highways, railway infrastructure, airports, ports, and the expansion of Vande Bharat train services as examples of large-scale infrastructure development undertaken during the Prime Minister’s tenure.

Expressing appreciation for cooperation between the state and the Centre, Kalyan said Andhra Pradesh remains committed to achieving its long-term development objectives through the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision.
He stated that the state aims to contribute meaningfully to the national goal of building a developed India by 2047 and emphasized that collaboration between the Union and state governments would be crucial in realizing those ambitions.

The milestone was also commemorated by PVN Madhav, president of the Andhra Pradesh BJP, who offered special prayers at Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam.
The ceremony recognized Prime Minister Modi’s completion of approximately 4,400 days in office. Madhav noted that Modi, who first assumed office on May 26, 2014, has surpassed the previous record for continuous service held by Jawaharlal Nehru.
He credited the Prime Minister’s leadership with strengthening public confidence and supporting India’s rise among the world’s leading economies.
Digital Payments and Infrastructure Growth
Highlighting key achievements of the government, Madhav pointed to the rapid expansion of the UPI digital payments ecosystem, which has transformed the way millions of Indians conduct financial transactions.
